Spring 2025

Dear Scarsdale Baseball Families!

Scarsdale Little League is pleased to announce evaluations for 4th through 8th graders for the Spring 2025 little league and travel baseball seasons! These evaluations will be held at Crossway 3 field and Crossway's batting cages on Saturday, October 19th. The rain/makeup date is Saturday, October 26th.

All players in 4th-6th grade intending to play in SLL's in house league in the spring should attend the evaluation as these evaluations are used in team formation.

7th & 8th graders only need to attend if they are interested in trying out for SLL's travel team.

Players will be evaluated by an independent, third-party organization.

SLL is planning to have Travel Teams for 4th through 8th Grades in Spring 2025. We will notify players of Spring 2025 travel team selection the week of November 4th. SLL's travel teams are coached by independent professionals.

4G Evaluations - Pick one only - 9:00AM OR 2:00PM

5G Evaluations - Pick one only - 11:00AM OR 3:00PM

6G Evaluations - Only 1 time - 12:00PM

7G Evaluations - Only 1 time - 10:00AM

8G Evaluations - Only 1 time - 1:15PM

Please register as soon as possible as each session will allow a limited number of registrations in order to prevent overcrowding.

PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FIELD OR NEAR THE BATTING CAGES DURING THE EVALUATIONS.
PLAYERS MAY NOT WEAR ANY BASEBALL GEAR OR UNIFORMS CONTAINING A LAST NAME OR CLOTHING FROM ANY TRAVEL BASEBALL PROGRAM (INCLUDING SCARSDALE) TO MAINTAIN ANONYMITY OF PLAYERS AND FAIRNESS FOR ALL PLAYERS BEING EVALUATED.

EVALUATION DETAILS:

Players will be evaluated on several skills—including hitting, fielding, throwing, and pitching by third-party professionals. Additionally, players may choose to be evaluated on catching. Many of these professionals have played professional and/or college baseball and are skilled in evaluating young players.
