Attention Junior Leaguers (rising 9th graders),
You may be starting your last Little League season, but before you know it, you will be a freshman at Scarsdale High School (SHS)! The good news is... baseball doesn't end when you graduate from Little League and the Middle School. Let us to direct you to the next step in your baseball career by introducing you to the Scarsdale Baseball Club (SBC).
Please check out the SBC website to learn more: http://www.scarsdalebaseballclub.com
The SBC is a non-profit, community-based organization focused on the development and cultivation of SHS baseball players. SBC participants are instructed by the same SHS staff that coach the SHS baseball teams during the spring season. The SHS coaches have helped create the programs and take an active role in running the clinics and coaching the teams in the off-season to ensure a year-round regimen of competition, physical conditioning and skill development.
Please go to the website and register today so that you won't miss out on any of the upcoming activities. Below is an overview of the seasonal calendar:
During the long winter months, SBC runs two training programs; one is
geared towards Strength and Conditioning and is held in the Fitness
Center at SHS and the other is focused on Baseball Skills development
and is held indoors at the SUNY Purchase athletic facilities.
SBC hosts the Westchester Baseball Classic Memorial Day tournament right here in Scarsdale. 14u, 15u and 16u teams from all over Westchester participate in this weekend showdown.
SBC sponsors 14u and 16u teams participating in an 8 - 10 week summer travel season that starts in early June and finishes in early August. These teams have flexible enrollments options so you can combine playing baseball with your other summer plans.
SBC sponsors 14u, 16u and 18u teams participating in an 8 - 10 week fall travel season that starts in early September and finishes in late October.
Please contact any of the SBC Board members if you have any questions
about the Club or any of the programs.
